Hola! Welcome to Amethyst Class!

We are excited about this year’s curriculum. We will be learning about Conflict in history and Light and Sound in science.
Our favourite lessons are maths, science & PE – we are very scientific and creative in Amethyst Class. As part of our music lessons, we are learning to play the drums.

We are reading the novel The day the War Came as part of our English Learning. It is interesting to hear the plight that refugees have to go though to reach a safe haven; we are also learning to show empathy for their situation and journey.
Our P.E Day is on Monday and Tuesday. Please come in your kit and wear appropriate shoes. Homework will be uploaded onto dojo portfolio on Fridays and should be completed by Wednesday the following week. As well as completing your homework each week, you should also aim to read at least three times a week.
We like reading so much in this class. Our favourite books are Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Final Year, Harry Potter and many non-fiction books such as Guinness World Records and Believe it or not. We also love the Dog Man, Cat Kid and Bunny Vs Money series.

In our class we take part in fun activities out of school such as fishing, football, gymnastics, cricket, dancing, karate, basketball and skating.

We have many aspirations when we are older including being a pilot, doctor, gymnast, cricketer, footballer, artist, plaster, fisherman, computer coder and ballet teacher.
Thank you for stopping by!
