PE

At Wath Victoria Primary School, our PE curriculum is designed to provide all pupils with a broad, balanced, and ambitious programme that fosters their physical, mental, and social development. We have chosen to use the Complete PE scheme as it aligns closely with our school's vision and values, as well as the National Curriculum requirements for PE.

The Complete PE scheme ensures a clear progression of skills and knowledge across all key stages, enabling our pupils to build upon their prior learning and develop a deep understanding of a wide range of physical activities. With two dedicated PE sessions per week, we are committed to providing our pupils with ample opportunities to improve their physical fitness, health, and wellbeing.  Not only because of the requirements of the national curriculum, but the context of the area the school is located in, we believe passionately in children learning to swim and all children in year 4 get access to a term-long swimming unit at the local swimming pool as well as collective assemblies about the importance of water safety.
